Largest Families Without an r -Fork

چکیده
There is a very large number of generalizations and analogues of this theorem. Here we will mention only some results when the condition on F excludes certain configurations what can be expressed by inclusion, only. That is, no intersections, unions, etc. are involved. The first such generalization was obtained by Erdős [3]. The family of k distinct sets with mutual inclusions, F1 ⊂ F2 ⊂ . . . Fk is called a chain of lenght k. It will be simply denoted by Pk. Let La(n, Pk) denote the largest family F without a chain of lenght k.

متن کاملThe partition method for poset-free families
Given a finite poset P , let La(n, P ) denote the largest size of a family of subsets of an n-set that does not contain P as a (weak) subposet. We employ a combinatorial method, using partitions of the collection of all full chains of subsets of the nset, to give simpler new proofs of the known asymptotic behavior of La(n, P ), as n → ∞, when P is the r-fork Vr, the four-element N poset N , and...
متن کاملStructural Analysis of DNA Replication Fork Reversal by RecG
The stalling of DNA replication forks that occurs as a consequence of encountering DNA damage is a critical problem for cells. RecG protein is involved in the processing of stalled replication forks, and acts by reversing the fork past the damage to create a four-way junction that allows template switching and lesion bypass. We have determined the crystal structure of RecG bound to a DNA substr...
متن کاملReliability of Semmes-Weinstein Monofilaments and Tuning Fork on Pressure and Vibration Sensation Measurements in Diabetic Patients
Objectives: Sensory neuropathy is the major cause of ulceration in diabetic patients. Periodical sensory examination is an appropriate method to detect neuropathy and decrease the risk of diabetic foot ulcer. Semmes–Weinstein Monofilaments (SWM) and tuning fork on/off test are widely used to assess pressure and vibration sensitivity. The present study evaluated the inter- and intra-rater reliab...
متن کاملوضعیت کنونی فلورایران: راسته ها و تیره های نهان دانه ایران مطابق با APG IV
The increasing influence of APG classification system necessitates an update on taxa recorded in most regional floras including Iran. Many changes in circumscriptions of families and orders have occurred in APG in comparison with other classification systems. However, here we only attempt to emphasize on changes in the Iranian flora, especially in comparison with “Flora Iranica” and...
